Angie Comer
Writer | Director | Creator
As a alumni of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women, Angie's talent never fails to work hard. With many creative tricks up her sleeve, no one can deliver the cool factor quite like she can. She creates trends...she does not follow them. Strategically smart, Angie has the finesse to direct any story in a stylized and absorbing way.
Angie's raunchy, all Black 80's themed animated script High School High was a Finalist with the Sundance Episodic Program.
Angie's new and 7th short film, the boundary pushing dark comedy, "The Smartest Dumb Girl." Starring comedians Jenny Zigrino of FabUless and Zainab Johnson of Amazon Prime's Upload, was recently accepted into the 2022 Academy Award Qualifying Film Festival, LA Shorts Int'l Film Festival and the The Women's Film Festival in Philadelphia, the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival, The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, and won Best Actress at the I.F.B Film Festival and The Broad Humor Film Festival.
Angie recently penned a new short script, FAQs and new TV Pilot, entitled "Welcome, Back, Carter," a masterful re-imagining of a classic sitcom. She's a freelance copywriter with ECHO Digital Magazine and is currently writing a new feature screenplay.
